NCTE lists 17,668 teacher-education institutions across India: 9,321 with B.Ed and 7,320 with D.El.Ed. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed is valid for teaching jobs only if NCTE recognised that course at that institution. NCTE has withdrawn recognition for every course at 121 of them.

Copied from the NCTE regional committee lists (ERC, NRC, SRC, WRC). NCTE recognition does not lapse each year, but NCTE can withdraw it; we show the latest recognition, restoration or withdrawal order for each course. Open the order on NCTE's site before you pay, and confirm the affiliating university too.
